Puppy’s Kitchen

Overview: Puppy’s Kitchen – Styx Branch
This was my very first modeling project, created entirely through self-learning in Blender. The setting is based on the “Styx Branch” of Puppy‘s Kitchen, a location introduced in my earlier project. In this work, I aimed to incorporate my strongest skill as an illustration student—drawing. All textures in the scene were hand-painted from scratch to give the environment a unique, stylized feel.

Puppy’s Kitchen is a fictional restaurant chain in the Underworld, owned by the Greek goddess Hecate. Inspired by Hekate’s Deipnon, a ritual in which food offerings were left at crossroads for ghosts, I reimagined Hecate as a supernatural entrepreneur running a restaurant network for the dead.

The day-to-day work is mostly handled by her loyal animal companions, especially black dogs that once served as offerings in life. Some human souls also work part-time. The menu includes familiar mortal dishes and magical treats.

Development Process

The Styx Branch is one of the most modest locations in the Puppy’s Kitchen network, built with whatever materials could be found nearby. It mainly serves simple meals to souls who can’t afford Charon’s ferry, and operates more as a soup kitchen than a formal restaurant.

Therefore, I designed the space with simple, functional furniture and focused on creating a lived‑in, everyday atmosphere rather than a polished or grand interior.
